Microsoft made an unexpected announcement earlier this week about the proposed closure of two European development studios and the cancellation of the Fable Legends game. Lionhead Studios in the UK was in the process of developing a cross-device multiplayer game called Fable Legends and Press Play Studios in Denmark were working on a survival game called Project Knoxville. Both projects are being cancelled.
Lionhead is best known for the Black & White series, and the Fable series. Press play is best known for Max: The Curse of the Brotherhood.
