Xbox Wire has posted an interview with the game’s creative director Magnus Jansen, offering a bit of information about the game’s story and what players can expect when it releases in March.
The game puts players in the shoes of a Strategic Homeland Division agent trying to survive after a plague wipes out most of the population of New York on Black Friday. Magnus Jansen characterizes the game as a online, open-world RPG and says that they want players to be able to “go anywhere they want, and craft their own adventures.” He also mentions that the tactical combat is combined with deep RPG elements and that players will have a Base of Operations that they can customize as a personal space.
The closed beta starts first on the Xbox One on January 28th, then on PS4 and PC on January 29th. The game will release on March 8, 2016. Full details are available here.
